THE INFORMATION AND ADVICE SERVICE is based in the Pop In Centre on Lower Hillgate Stockport and clients can and do visit by appointment, call in, telephone, fax or email: also an advisor will visit a client at home where needed. A wide range of information is available including benefits and financial advice, consumer problems, housing disputes and legal advice. The team also deliver surgeries on tax, pensions, legal matters, financial planning and other events.

The service ensures quality by working to standards of both Age Concern and the Community Legal Services Quality Mark, awarded in 2002.
