<title>HUMAN RIGHTS PROJECT</title>
<link>http://www.ageconcernstockport.org.uk/news/2010/january/human-rights-project.html</link>
<description>Human Rights are rights that belong to all human beings without discrimination. They involve key principles such as dignity, respect, autonomy and equal treatment. The overall aim of this project is to raise awareness of human rights and to empower older people in Stockport and surrounding areas.
This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard, to raise awareness about issues that are important to you. Through training sessions with the British Institute of Human Rights you will gain valuable skills, knowledge and insight into this increasingly important policy area.
The project will run until August 2011, if you would like to be involved, are over 50 and are available to attend five daytime workshops in Stockport please contact Catherine Morris who will be happy to provide further information on 0161 480 1211 or email at morrisc@ageconcernstockport.org.uk.
