Age Concern Products Accessibility
Age Concern Stockport is a local registered charity and all our efforts and resources are used for the benefit of people within the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport. The organisation is a fully independent charity (Charity Number 516912), and in addition we are full members of the national Age Concern federation.
Aims
The aim of Age Concern Stockport is to work throughout the borough to promote health, independence and choice to enhance quality of lifestyle in later life. (Annual Report 2004)
Values
Age Concern Stockport believe that people should:
- have their rights respected and upheld as individuals;
- have their needs acknowledged and addressed;
- have their voices heard and their involvement encouraged;
- have appropriate control over all aspects of their lives;
- not be discriminated against in any respect.

Action
Age Concern Stockport works to achieve these aims and uphold these values by providing opportunities and encouragement to people in later life, and also through the development and delivery of a wide range of support services and activities, and the provision of information and advice so people know their options.
